“Volunteering with MYH is something special. For me, it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to support such exceptional people who help young people all year round. The service MYH offers and outreach they do is something I, along with many of my friends, would have greatly benefitted from when I was younger, so it’s only right we do our best to give young people what they rightly deserve. The thing that stands out to me most from volunteering with MYH, is how it’s enabled me to actively listen and feel a deeper level of empathy. I’ve never seen MYH as a place I’ve merely volunteered with, but more like an extended family who is making the world a better place.”
“I wanted to volunteer with the MYH because I believe their work is so important and needed by young Muslims. It’s been a rewarding experience and I’m glad I chose to volunteer here. As a volunteer, I have felt supported and encouraged throughout. I always feel heard and valued.”
“I enjoyed volunteering so much because I’ve always been interested in mental health and learning about the different issues people have. MYH helped me learn skills which allowed me to help people emotionally inside and outside the workplace.”
